Hjelvik, Dorothy F. age 95, long term resident of Brooklyn Center, MN, went to be with the Lord Jesus on Sunday, March 27, 2011 after a brief battle with heart disease. Precious and loving mother of Kaye & husband Mike Baum, Diane & husband Dan Haugen, and David & wife Lori. Cherished grandmother to Emily Hjelvik, Matthew Hjelvik, Gretchen Baum (Coby Bracy) and Heidi May (Jason); and great-grandmother to Kiarra, Trae & Alicia Bracy, and Adeline May. Dear aunt to nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by husb and, Olaf Hjelvik; sister, Bernyce Swanson; and parents, Ernest and Martha Harlow. Funeral service 7 PM on Friday, April 1 at Hope Lutheran Church, 5200 Emerson Ave N., Mpls., 55430. Visitation preceding service 5:30 PM at the church. Private interment at Lakewood Cemetery.
