This event will take place outdoors by the reflecting pool on Sunday, October 29th from 3:30-4:30 PM. Please bring your own blanket and/or chair. For wheelchair access, use the elevator in the Garden Mausoleum.

No reservations required, and all are welcome to join this open-house style event. Admission is free (donations are encouraged at the event).

Please note this is not a Lakewood event, but we are honored to continue the tradition of hosting this popular event on our grounds and sharing this opportunity with our community. Find more information about this event on Facebook, or if you have questions, contact the event organizer, Betty Tisel at betty@tiselfarley.com.

Location

This event takes place in the open area by the reflecting pool at Lakewood, a large, pedestrian friendly space nestled between the historic Memorial Chapel, Garden Mausoleum, and Memorial Mausoleum. This area can be accessed by stairs from several directions, or via elevator through the Garden Mausoleum.

Rain plan

If there is rain, this event will move indoors to Lakewood’s historic Memorial Chapel.

Parking and Accessibility

Parking is available on any of the roads inside Lakewood’s gates, unless otherwise noted with a no parking sign. You may have to walk a short distance from where you park to where the event takes place. Handicap parking spaces are available near the Memorial Chapel, but please note that stairs connect these spots to the event location. Parking near the Garden Mausoleum (link to map) is recommended for people using wheelchairs because elevators provide access to the event location.

Bussing

Metro Transit lines 6 and 23 stop right outside of Lakewood’s gates, at 36th and Hennepin.

Biking

Lakewood has a bike rack available near the front gates. Please do not lock bikes to trees.

Restrooms

Restrooms will be available in the nearby Garden Mausoleum.

Questions? Please note this is not a Lakewood event, but we are honored to continue the tradition of hosting this popular event. If you have any questions, please contact the event organizer Betty Tisel at betty@tiselfarley.com.
