‘Til Death do Us Part: Lakewood Love Stories After Hours

June 10 @ 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm

Bring your sweetie to Lakewood after hours for an unexpected night out! Lakewood is filled with romantic love stories, and we’ll share some of our favorite tales as we enjoy light snacks, wine and beer. Along with stories and games, we’ll weave in options for memorialization, because pre-planning is a loving gesture couples and families can make to ease their loved ones at the time of loss. There will be time to ask questions and the chance to schedule a private appointment with our Family Services team.
Although most of our stories will center on couples, everyone is welcome—whether you come with a partner, a friend or on your own!

About our hosts

Seth Kaltwasser is the Family Services Manager at Lakewood. Seth has a passion for helping individuals and families make meaningful choices that will be celebrated for generations to come. He works closely with families to ensure their choices truly honor and celebrate their priceless legacies. With long experience in nonprofit fundraising and arts management, Seth has learned the value of legacy. He is inspired by the robust local history that fills Lakewood and the countless new and touching stories that every family adds to the diversity of Lakewood’s community. Over the past five years, since joining Lakewood, Seth has been instrumental in contributing to changes that support families’ experiences and needs.

Amanda Luke is the Community Engagement Manager at Lakewood, overseeing public programs and events, education and volunteers. She is incredibly passionate about normalizing conversations around death and end-of-life, and building community, especially in moments of grief and healing. Constantly inspired by the stories, meaningful moments, and even friendships that have been built at Lakewood events, Amanda loves any opportunity to bring people onsite to talk about death in such an inspiring and beautiful location.

Location: The Lakewood Welcome Center

Join us in the Community Room at the Lakewood Welcome Center. This net zero ready building opened to the public in May 2024 and features beautiful floor to ceiling windows, energy efficient design, and sustainable outdoor landscaping.
