Sundays at Lakewood: Mother’s Day
May 14 @ 10:00 am - 1:00 pm
Many families visit Lakewood on Mother’s Day to remember and celebrate the amazing women who have influenced our lives, including our mothers, grandmothers, aunts, sisters, daughters and friends, now laid to rest at Lakewood.
Stop by Lakewood and pick up a pink carnation in honor of those mother’s and mother figures who are missed and remembered on this special day.
A symbol of love and strength
Pink carnations are the official flower of Mother’s Day, and a symbol of the purity, strength and endurance of a mother’s love. We invite you to stop by the Lakewood Memorial Chapel for a complimentary pink carnation on Mother’s Day. Flowers will be available from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. (while supplies last).
Tie a ribbon on our Living Memory Tree
Take a moment to reflect, and add a ribbon to our Living Memory Tree, a collective display of remembrance and love.

Lakewood Memorial Chapel
In celebration of Doors Open Minneapolis, our historic Memorial Chapel will be open from 10am – 5pm on Sunday, May 14.
Help locating graves
If you need help locating a grave, you have a couple of options:
- Visit the Lakewood Burial Search page before your visit, and write or print directions.
- Go to the Lakewood administrative offices during regular business hours, or stop by our Information kiosk on the lower east side of the administrative offices.
- Stop by the Lakewood info tent between 10am – 1pm and a Lakewood representative will help you find your loved one.
Location
Find us at the tent across from the chapel! In the event of heavy rain or storms, we will move into the chapel.
