SUMMARY:Art Exhibit: Recycling and Repurposing the Flowers of Lakewood by Diana Eicher
DESCRIPTION:[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text css=””]\nExplore the art exhibit\, Recycling and Repurposing the Flowers of Lakewood\, a powerful and poetic project that breathes new life into the beauty of remembrance. This memorable project transforms funeral flowers\, symbols of love\, loss\, and legacy\, into delicate handmade paper. These paper pieces commemorate the lives of the loved ones being honored at Lakewood. \nOver the course of the Artist in Residence program\, Eicher worked alongside Lakewood’s grounds team to collect flowers that were left on gravesites across the grounds\, and had begun to wilt and dry\, to create one-of-a-kind paper\, giving these meaningful flowers renewed use and new beauty. \nIn addition to creating the paper itself\, Eicher also created prints inspired by Lakewood and our connection to nature.  One of her woodcuts was printed onto four different sheets of her handmade paper. \nView the final prints and handmade paper on display in the Welcome Center\, March 18 – April 30\, 2026. \n[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text css=””]\nBlockprinting Demonstration\nJoin artist Diana Eicher for a hands-on workshop to learn more about blockprinting. SUMMARY:Community Grief Ritual with the Twin Cities Grief Collective (4/18)
DESCRIPTION:[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text css=””]Join the Twin Cities Grief Collective for our monthly Community Grief Ritual at Lakewood Cemetery. Together we create a sacred space where grief in all its forms can be honored and held in community. \nA Community Grief Ritual is a practice of gathering with others to tend to sorrow\, longing\, and loss in a supportive circle. It is rooted in the wisdom that grief is not meant to be carried alone. Through song\, reflection\, movement\, and deep listening\, we witness one another with compassion. Deep listening means receiving what is shared without judgment or fixing\, trusting that presence itself can be healing. In this space\, all grief is welcome\, and all expressions of grief—whether tears\, wails\, silence\, laughter\, or story—are honored. \nOur rituals are not meant to solve grief\, but to make space for it. Sometimes new discoveries or tender feelings may emerge. We encourage participants to care for themselves after the ritual—through rest\, journaling\, connecting with trusted friends\, and exploring ongoing grief support. Our collective also offers resources and can help point you toward additional care.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text css=””]What to Expect \nEach ritual offers time for settling\, sharing\, and closing together\, with space afterward to reorient gently before returning to the world. Doors open at 9 AM for coffee\, gathering and quiet reflection. Ritual starts promptly at 9:15. The ritual itself lasts about 90 minutes\, followed by optional time to explore Lakewood’s beautiful grounds.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text css=””]What to Bring \nYou are invited to bring an object that represents your grief to place on our community altar during the ritual. It will be returned to you at the end of our time together. Cash donations are welcome.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”2/3″][vc_column_text css=””]About the Twin Cities Grief Collective \nThe Twin Cities Grief Collective is a volunteer organization of healing professionals—chaplains\, death doulas\, artists\, ritualists\, therapists\, caregivers\, and more—committed to creating spaces where loss and longing can be witnessed\, shared\, and transformed in community. We choose to create these rituals together as a way to help heal the world.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/3″][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text css=””]\nMeet the Collective\n[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=””]Meet the individuals involved in the Community Grief Ritual led by members of the Twin Cities Grief Collective[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/4″][vc_column_text css=””]\nJadah Green\n[/vc_column_text]Services/SkillsSpiritual Direction\, Flower Bathing\, Sigal Candles\, & Museum Sage Guiding. \nCare AreaGreater Twin Cities\, some services offered via Zoom \nContacthttps://www.epiphany-house.com/ \nepihpanyhousellc@gmail.com \n[/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/4″][vc_column_text css=””]\nHollie Sookhai\n[/vc_column_text]Services/SkillsEnd of Life Doula Services \nCare AreaGreater Twin Cities \nContactWww.thewellwithinmn.com \nthewellwithinmn@gmail.com \n[/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/4″][vc_column_text css=””]\nSyneva Barrett\n[/vc_column_text]Services/SkillsSpiritual Guide\, Ritualist\, Death Doula \nCare AreaGreater Twin Cities\, some services offered via Zoom \nContacthowlingowluniverse.com \nhowlingowluniverse@gmail.com \n[/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/4″][vc_column_text css=””]\nAndrea Aase\n[/vc_column_text]Services/SkillsAncestral Lineage Healing\, Ritualist\, Reiki Master\, Tarot \nCare AreaGreater Twin Cities\, some services offered via Zoom \nContacthttps://www.threeofcupsmedicine.com \nandrea@threeofcupsmedicine.com \n[/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/4″][vc_column_text css=””]\nSarah Cledwyn\n[/vc_column_text]Services/SkillsSpiritual Guide\, Energy Healer\, Retreat Leader\, Ceremonialist \nCare AreaOfficed in Saint Paul and available online \nContactwww.growsoul.com \nsarah@sarahcledwyn.com \n[/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/4″][vc_column_text css=””]\nJulia Lopez-Kaley\n[/vc_column_text]Services/SkillsMusic Therapist\, Spiritual Companion/Director\, Energetic Ecologist Practitioner \nCare AreaGreater Twin Cities\, some services offered via Zoom \nContactwww.liminaltending.com \njulia@liminaltending.com \n[/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/4″][/vc_column][/vc_row]
