Each season, you’re invited to share the beauty of Lakewood during our seasonal Focus on the Seasons photo contest. Twelve winners each year will have their photo featured in the Lakewood calendar. Winners will also receive two free tickets to a Lakewood event, like a Trolley Tour or a Music in the Chapel concert.
Enter your photo:
When submissions are open, you may enter up to two seasonal photos taken on Lakewood’s grounds. Photos must be horizontal and high-resolution and cannot include any recognizable faces. As you plan which photos to enter, please note that you may only win once each year.
Winter submissions: February 16 – February 27, 2023
Spring submissions: May 18 – June 1, 2023
Summer submissions: August 17 – August 28, 2023
Fall submissions: September 22 – October 16, 2023
Vote on photos:
Eight semi-finalists will be chosen from submitted photos, and then, Lakewood families, friends and fans will have an opportunity to visit the Lakewood website and vote for their favorite.
Winter voting: March 16 – March 20, 2023
Spring voting: June 22 – June 26, 2023
Summer voting: September 18 – September 25, 2023
Fall voting: October 20 – October 23, 2023
Contest rules and tips:
- Everyone is welcome to enter!
- Submit up to two photos (per season).
- Photos must be horizontal.
- Photos must be high-resolution.
- All photos must be taken on the grounds at Lakewood.
- Please do not include recognizable faces in photos.
- Photographers may only win once per year.
- Minor adjustments to photos, such as sharpening, contrast or cropping are permitted, but no other enhancements.
- Please be sensitive and respectful of others’ privacy. Avoid any area where there are funerals or graveside services, or a person/family is visiting a grave. Avoid pictures that show names on monuments and markers unless they are public figures and/or have historical significance.
- Images taken at Lakewood are for personal use or, if submitted, for use in the Lakewood calendar only. If you wish to use photographs for any commercial or professional use, please contact Lakewood for written consent.
- 2024 Calendars will be available free in our office beginning in December 2023.
