Mother’s Day at Lakewood

Sunday, May 10, 2020 | 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Many families visit Lakewood on Mother's Day to remember and celebrate the amazing women who have influenced our lives, including our mothers, grandmothers, aunts, sisters, daughters and friends, now laid to rest at Lakewood. During this difficult time, Lakewood wants to keep this tradition of remembrance and memorialization alive, however we do ask that you respect physical distancing guidelines and maintain safe distances away from other guests, as well as keeping group gatherings under 10 people.

A symbol of love and strength

Pink carnations are the official flower of Mother’s Day, and a symbol of the purity,

strength and endurance of a mother’s love. We invite you to stop by our welcome tent (near the main gates) for a complimentary pink carnation on Mother's Day. Flowers will be available from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. (while supplies last).

We ask that for the safety of other guests and our staff, you maintain a safe physical distance when waiting to pick up a carnation.

Start a new tradition

Take a moment to reflect, and add a ribbon to our new Living Memory Tree, a collective display of remembrance and love.
