Jean Audrey Knowles

Knowles, Jean Audrey (Howes) Jean was born June 15, 1918 in Buhl, MN. She was the daughter of Agnes & J.R. (Bob) Howes. She died September 10, 2020 at the age of 102. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 40 years, Phillip Knowles, and her brother, John Howes. Survivors include sons, Stephen of Edina, Bob (Jayne) of Blaine, Grandsons, Adam, Michael (Kati) of Coon Rapids and Casey (Roxie) of Sartell, great grandsons, Grant, Austin, and Zach, great- granddaughters, Gracyn, Alexis, and Kaylee. Sister-in-law, Betty Howes of Edina and many wonderful nieces and nephews. Jean was a member of P.E.O. for 72 years, currently a member of Chapter E, a former member of Minneapolis Woman's Club, was a member of Christ Presbyterian Church Edina for 50 years, Martha Circle and Edynamoes. Jean was also a member of the former Country Wide Garden Club and Edina Woman's Club. Jean was a graduate of West High School. Jean and her husband, Phil, graduated from Iowa State University. He was a longtime employee of General Mills and a retired Army Captain. The family moved often. Jean loved her family, friends, crossword puzzles, computers, gardening, bridge clubs and had the privilege of traveling to 52 countries. Jean always felt so blessed. A memorial service wil l be held at later date. Memorials preferred to Edynamoes at Christ Presbyterian Church Edina or Donor's choice.
