Resonant Reflection: A Sound Meditation
August 15 @ 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm
Take time to reflect and honor yourself and your emotions through breathwork and meditation in the beautiful and historic Lakewood Memorial Chapel at this popular event hosted by Thomasina and Bob Fisk of Waking Nomad.
In this session, we will guide you through a meditative experience to connect with yourself. Through breathwork and the use of overtone-producing instruments, you will be able to release tension and focus on the present moment. We will encourage active listening and receptivity to allow a full embrace of the emotions that may be just under the surface, whether they be grief, joy, vulnerability, compassion or strength.
This session can be used as an alternative form of grief support that is driven by active breathwork, mindful listening, and tuning into one’s own emotions.
What to Bring
- Optional: A blanket, cushion or blanket may add to your comfort. Seating is in pews, and due to high attendance, there is generally not enough room for lying down.
- Optional: Water bottles are allowed, but other kinds of beverages and food are not allowed in this historic building.
- Optional: Masks are not required, but please bring one if it makes you more comfortable, especially for the breathwork portion of this event.
